Individual Counselling
In session, I use methods such as prayer and scripture, general talk therapy, nervous system care, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
EMDR is a psychotherapy technique developed to help people process and heal from traumatic memories and distressing life experiences without needing to relay much detail or fully re-enter those memories. It can be used for any degree of trauma.
Marriage Counselling
I am trained in the Gottman Method for couples counselling and hold Level 2 Couples Therapy training.
For women, I combine couples counselling training with biblical guidance on their role in marriage, helping them process past hurts and strengthen their relationship with their husband.
For couples, my aim is to provide practical strategies that enhance and strengthen your relationship. Sessions are grounded in the belief that your marriage reflects the divine mystery between Christ and his Church. Together, we will assess the health of your relationship and use research-backed interventions to improve the overall health of your marriage.
Background
I have been providing counselling since 2010. Throughout my practice, I have incorporated a spiritual component into my counselling approach. This aspect has deepened over the years, particularly through the ongoing development of my understanding of surrendering myself to the Lord.
I am a wife to my husband and a mom to three children ranging from elementary age to teens. Our family resides in rural Saskatchewan.
