SARAH SAND, MSW, RSW
Faith Based | Couples Counselling from Gottman Institute | Parenting
Professional Background
I have been counselling since 2010, holding a Master’s degree with a focus on high sensitivity, spirituality and faith, and couples counselling. I am the mother of three children and a wife to my husband. Our family resides in rural Saskatchewan, where my husband and I both grew up and married in 2010. We hold family values of service, gratitude, humility, discipline, and faith in high regard.
Counselling Focus
I focus on faith-based individual and couples counselling, high sensitivity (HSP), anxiety, and parenting.
Methods
Individual Counselling
Each session begins with listening to you, your thoughts, emotions, and concerns, followed by a prayer to seek guidance of our living God. I trust that when we come together in His presence, He is there to support us. During our time together, we will use specific, evidence-based interventions coupled with practical application of scriptural teachings and prayer.
Couples Counselling
I am trained in the Gottman Method for couples counselling and hold Level 2 Couples Therapy training. This training coupled with scriptural teachings form the foundation of my practice. For couples, my aim is to provide strategies that can enhance and strengthen your relationship. Sessions are grounded in the belief that your marriage is sacred and has the potential for growth. Together, we will assess the health of your relationship in key areas and use research-backed interventions to improve the overall health of your marriage.
